Sundas Hussain is a social transformer of communities & business, possessing intrepreneurial qualities. Currently she is working as a Project Director in climate change with an aim in the reduction of CO2 emissions & is undertaking her PhD at Birmingham City University examining entrepreneurship support for female social housing residents through the exploration of social justice, economic development & growth. At the University Sundas has also taken up a Visiting Lecturer role in two departments: School of Law teaching environmental law, renewable energy & climate change on the Oil & Gas module, & School of Business teaching entrepreneurship.
Sundas has two areas of expertise: climate change & entrepreneurship. Her climate change experience in addition to teaching includes the design & delivery of grassroots community level projects funded by the Scottish Government: sustainability, energy, sustainable transport, organic growing, waste reduction & up-cycling. She is also a mentor to young nascent leaders on an Environmental Leadership Programme. Her entrepreneurship background ranges from many management & leadership positions at both multi-national companies & third sector organisations. At the moment she is involved in academic research & looking to publish in renewable & sustainable energy, honing her focus to environmental entrepreneurship.
Sundas has worked & studied all over the UK. She holds a MA in Arts, Business & Creativity from Newcastle University & a BA (Hons) in Fashion from Coventry University. Sundas is fluent in English, Urdu, Punjabi & Hindi, & is learning Arabic. Her combined & growing experiences, educational background, talents & innovative thinking are valuable assets to those who are looking to lower their carbon footprint &/or enhance their entrepreneurial activities.
